Stephanie and Jerry had their ceremony in the walled gardens in front of the Conservatory. It was a gorgeous day, and the gardens were full of color.

The ceremony was performed by a family friend of the groom’s, in tandem with local Magistrate, Joe Knight.

Kathryn + Brandon at the Grand Bohemian

Enjoy these beautiful images from the super talented wedding photographer, Ashley Felkel!!! I love, Love this shot with the flower petals.

The bride loves honeysuckle, and the wedding day fell perfectly at the peak of honeysuckle season. Drew Leonard at Blossoms at Biltmore Park incorporated it beautifully into the decor. Not only were the arrangements gorgeous, but they smelled amazing! Pastry Chef Michelle Fountain of Icing on the Cake also carried the honeysuckle theme by decorating the cake with a climbing sugar vine and flowers.

Mac2forblog

Mackenzie Guerin has been a yoga practitioner since 2003, and became a certified teacher through Stephanie Keach’s 230 hour yoga teacher training course at the Asheville Yoga Center in 2009. First exposed to the tradition of yoga by Diana Degroot as a student at East Carolina University, Mackenzie has since traveled around the world practicing different styles of yoga, including ashtanga vinyasa, anusara, yin, and flow yoga.  Her experience has lead her to a deep understanding of the practice, as well as alignment principals, anatomy, pranayama, theory, adjustments, and the ability to maintain presence of the mind body connection.

Through yoga, Mackenzie offers brides, grooms, wedding parties, guests and anyone planning a big event a way to relax and prepare for the big day.

After your customized, celebratory yoga experience, you will leave feeling refreshed and stress-free, with an experience that you and your friends will always remember!

Classes can be customized for the beginner or for the experienced yogi. Mackenzie offers a flexible schedule to suit your personal timetable: early morning, lunchtime, evening and weekend classes are available. All classes include yoga poses, meditation and breathing exercises. Classes can be sequenced as gentle/restorative, all level vinyasa/flow style, or a blend of both styles to bring you into that blissful state!

In a traditional Persian wedding, the bride and groom are seated behind a sofreh, a spread of symbolic items created by the family, that are incorporated into the ceremony.

At the beginning of the reception, the uncles and I passed out sweet treats from the sofreh.

Just before the bride and groom cut the cake, the mother of the groom made off with the knife, danced with it, and passed it around to different guests before giving it back to the couple. I enjoyed watching this!

Megan and Kevin’s wedding was styled after the bride’s grandmother’s 1940s NYC brunch wedding. I absolutely loved her vintage dress!
