Sara and Marcelino were married at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Tryon, NC, with a reception at the Green Creek Winery. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day for an outdoor celebration!
Thanks to Ashley Felkel for the photographs!

The flowers came from Sweetbrier Flower Shoppe in Hendersonville

DJ Marley Carroll packed the dance floor until the very end!

The Latin menu was inspired by the groom’s Puerto Rican heritage, expertly prepared by Pat Strother and her team at Impeccable Taste Catering.

Guests were offered a choice of cake flavors, as the tiers were alternating flavors of Italian Cream and Lemon Raspberry by Liz Rose of 10 North Trade Cafe Bakery in Tryon.

The grounds of the Bella Luna Inn were a gorgeous choice for the ceremony and reception, and the couple and close family stayed at the Inn for the weekend. Inn owners Cynthia and Brad Brasher wowed everyone with their fresh, local and mindfully prepared reception food from their catering company, Black-Eyed Susan Catering. If you’re looking for a wedding venue, a gathering spot for a family reunion, or just a weekend getaway for two, I highly recommend the Bella Luna!
Thanks to Mike Belleme for these beautiful images!

Lindsay and Scott rented a beautiful cabin overlooking Lake Fontana for their intimate celebration. With a big wrap around deck and not a cloud in the sky, it was just perfect for both their ceremony, officiated by Darr Conradson, and reception!

Melissa Thomas with Flora designed the sweetest dinner table, and Artisan Catering filled each plate with delicious food

Every guest was honored with a button mum to wear!

The view from the deck was spectacular

Guests were treated to a dessert bar from the French Broad Chocolate Lounge…nibby brownie bites, hand crafted truffles, mocha stout cake, and maple butter cake. Yum!

Thanks to Rebecca D’Angelo for beautifully capturing each moment!

This wedding was extra special for me…the bride is one of my most favorite yoga instructors! I attend her class at the Asheville Yoga Center as frequently as possible. Matt is just as wonderful as Candra is, and their wedding was a sweet celebration that I could not have been happier to be a part of. Thanks to Ashley Felkel Photography for preserving this incredible day so beautifully!

Sherrill’s Inn is brimming with history. It’s a unique and amazing place just near Hickory Nut Gap Farm, and I love every minute I get to spend there! This original mural, adorning the walls of one of the rooms on the first floor, was painted by a relative of Annie Ager’s, and tells the story of the early years.

The flowers were as local as they come, grown just down the road at Flying Cloud Farm. We gathered even more tiger lillies from the property for an extra punch of bright orange!

The ceremony was sheltered from the drizzle under cover of a thick canopy of leaves over the tennis lawn. The moss added to the protective, healthy, and romantic feel that the space lends. Raja Yoga teacher and Vedic astrologer, Ryan Kurczak, officiated.

The Smith family: Candra, Matt and Shiloh

In lieu of take home favors, the couple planted an apple tree in their guests’ honor.

Dinner that evening was a delicious spread of Indian food, lovingly prepared by a friend of Candra and Matt’s, Jody Davis.

It’s hard to resist Short Street Cakes! There was a variety of flavors offered for tasting…

Super fun tunes from the Trainwreks!

These lovely images were taken by a friend of the bride’s, wedding photographer
Jamie Lynn Carroll.

Flora designed gorgeous classic French mound bouquets consisting of ivory hydrangeas, peonies, ranunuclus, and a touch of greenery wrapped in ivory satin for the ladies

Stephanie and Jerry had their ceremony in the walled gardens in front of the Conservatory. It was a gorgeous day, and the gardens were full of color.
The ceremony was performed by a family friend of the groom’s, in tandem with local Magistrate, Joe Knight.

Guests hit the dance floor immediately following dinner, thanks to Five Star Entertainment!

The cigar bar was a big hit at the reception!

Enjoy these beautiful images from the super talented wedding photographer, Ashley Felkel!!! I love, Love this shot with the flower petals.

The bride loves honeysuckle, and the wedding day fell perfectly at the peak of honeysuckle season. Drew Leonard at Blossoms at Biltmore Park incorporated it beautifully into the decor. Not only were the arrangements gorgeous, but they smelled amazing! Pastry Chef Michelle Fountain of Icing on the Cake also carried the honeysuckle theme by decorating the cake with a climbing sugar vine and flowers.

These photos were taken by my dear friend and amazing photographer, Jesse Kitt. Based in Asheville, Jesse Kitt Photography shoots weddings in western NC and all over the world.

The live oaks were the perfect shade from the Texas sun!

In a traditional Persian wedding, the bride and groom are seated behind a sofreh, a spread of symbolic items created by the family, that are incorporated into the ceremony.

At the beginning of the reception, the uncles and I passed out sweet treats from the sofreh.

Just before the bride and groom cut the cake, the mother of the groom made off with the knife, danced with it, and passed it around to different guests before giving it back to the couple. I enjoyed watching this!

Guests were treated to Flamenco music and dancing…beautiful!

Megan and Kevin’s wedding was styled after the bride’s grandmother’s 1940s NYC brunch wedding. I absolutely loved her vintage dress!

The handbag was Megan’s grandmother’s.

Gorgeous flowers from The Bloom Room.

Braidstream provided waltz music during the reception, with a special guest on the trumpet, a good friend of the bride’s family.

Thanks to Audrey Goforth for perfectly capturing this vintage wedding!
